Founder & President

Meet Patrick Pittman, the Founder and President of Southview Benefit Solutions. Patrick is deeply committed to his clients, focusing on building lasting relationships and finding tailored solutions to meet their needs. Patrick's approach is distinctive, centered on offering his clients improved solutions that strike a balance between managing the costs of employee benefits and safeguarding the valuable benefits for their employees. With nearly a decade of experience as a benefits consultant, Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique blend of innovative solutions to the table.

Patrick founded Southview Benefit Solutions with a clear vision: to exceed expectations for clients while maintaining personal connections. In the words of his late grandfather, Sir, who spent over 40 years in sales, “Son, in this life, you got to plant seeds of kindness and watch them grow into strong bonds that'll stand the test of time."

For Patrick, forming the company was first and foremost about creating a benefits practice that puts clients first, ensuring that personal relationships always remain at the forefront of priorities. Through innovative strategies and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Southview Benefit Solutions aims to control the rising costs of benefits without compromising offerings.


Professionally, Patrick actively engages with various professional organizations, recognizing the importance of building connections within these communities. Of note, he served as the immediate past chair of the Greater Birmingham Area Home Builders (“GBAHB”) Young Professionals Board and currently holds the position of Vice Chair for the HBAA Young Professionals Board.

Patrick has made an indelible mark on the employee benefits (EB) market. While focusing on middle-market to large groups early on in his practice, Patrick recognized there was an unmet demand for association health plans. Igniting his passion for innovative strategy, Patrick pioneered an Association Health Plan (“AHP”) practice. Through this new practice, Patrick began custom tailoring benefit packages focused to the unique needs of associations and helping associations implement them to their members. Under his guidance, this initiative has seen the successful launch of 10 AHPs spanning three states—North Carolina, South Carolina, and his home state of Alabama. Today, these plans provide coverage for more than 7,000 employees across 700 member companies!


Education & Personal Life

Earning a B.A.A. from Birmingham Southern College, Patrick showcased his dedication and teamwork skills as a member of the men’s golf team. This same skill set that generated success on the golf team are the same principles generating success in the field of employee benefits.

Outside of professional endeavors, Patrick is an active member of Vestavia Hills Methodist Church, where he seeks opportunities to contribute to the community and build meaningful relationships.

Patrick also enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two labs, Boone and Horace Greeley, III. As an avid outdoorsman, great joy is found in the activities of hunting, fishing and golf.
